Book protection: Book bags

Book bags (aka Book Protection Units or BPUs) will be for sale for $4 each at the library circulation desk of each campus during the school year.

Best books for your child

A book and a hug is a website started by American librarian Barb Langridge to help children to find books they like. One fun thing is the test for children to find their 'Reader Type'.  You can search for books by category, read alikes, and reading levels. For teachers there are lesson plans and curriculum connections. And there is more, so explore the site!

Common Sense Media informs parents and educators not only on books but also on everything connected to media. Looking at books they provide book reviews with age level, best book lists, tips to get your child hooked on reading, and advice on reading-related issues. They also offer a pfamily site to provide you with personalised age-appropriate picks for your children.

Brightly tries to connect kids with the right books at the right time and keep them engaged with reading as they grow.
