How to find leveled books

LIBRARY HOW 2:  
HOW TO FIND AND USE LEVELED READING LISTS:

 

We have attempted to level as many books as possible in the library in order to help our teachers and students find books at the right reading level. This is a work in process and we continue to add to the lists.

 

Step 1: In the library catalog

Step 2: Click on “Visual”

(3th tab on right)

 

Step 3: Click on “Levelled books”

in the 2nd column and 3rd row

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 4: Scroll down to the level of interest and click on it

 

a list of our books will appear. You can click on a title to see its availability.  You can then either come and find the books yourself or ask one of the library staff to put them aside for you. We suggest that you also look at the levels above and below the recommended level to find a suitable book.

Reading level correlation chart

Below you will find the CIS reading correlation chart. Please note the Alphabetic Fountas and Pinnell levels correspond to column 4 - Guided Reading F&P. The reason we use this is because our library system includes this in the data of the books we purchase.
