CIS Lakeside Primary Library: Holiday Reads

Welcome to our Primary School Library home page.

Summer Reading

Our philosophy is that the best book, is a book that a child chooses.   Student choice is a powerful motivation to read, for students to development their own preference in books, and to become lifelong independent learners.

Summer is a time for fun and family time, and reading during the summer should be the same! It's important to continue to read daily but that can be done in many forms, by yourself before bed, with Mom or Dad at home, listening to an audiobook as a family. Whatever it is, make it fun and keep reading!  And remember it prevents the Summer Slide too!
